Honorary Victor J. Cacciatore, Sr. Way dedicated in 2016
Victor J. Cacciatore was a prominent Chicago businessman and generous donor to DePaul University. His corporate endeavors began when he took over the real estate business, Jos. Cacciatore & Company, which his father established in 1906. Victor grew this business, established a thriving law practice, and other companies including the Elgin Street Sweeping company, and he aided the rebounding of Lakeside Bank as Chairman.
Cacciatore Stadium at DePaul University was one of his sizable donations to his alma mater, where he attended both undergraduate and Law school, and where he was a Trustee. He also endowed the school and donated rooms in honor of his Italian immigrant parents, Joseph and Gloria Cacciatore. In 2013 Victor Cacciatore was inducted into the DePaul University Athletic Hall of Fame.
After graduating from DePaul, Victor Cacciatore served as a counter-intelligence special agent in the U.S. Army. He was born and raised in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago and attended Mount Carmel High School.
