While not a record year for the number of new honorary signs dedicated by the City of Chicago 85 was still an upward trend from previous years of 70 and 60 signs.  See New Sign Dedications page for more details on 2016 and prior years.

The most notable sign this year was without a doubt "Honorary Trump Plaza" which was officially and publicaly repealed and removed following disparaging remarks about Chicago made by Presidential Candidate Trump.  See post from November 2016.
