Cacciatore Stadium at DePaul University was one of his sizable donations to his alma mater, where he attended both undergraduate and Law school, and where he was a Trustee.  He also endowed the school and donated rooms in honor of his Italian immigrant parents, Joseph and Gloria Cacciatore. In 2013 Victor Cacciatore was inducted into the DePaul University Athletic Hall of Fame

After graduating from DePaul, Victor Cacciatore served as a counter-intelligence special agent in the U.S. Army. He was born and raised in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago and attended Mount Carmel High School.
